I love this piece that Filmsupply did 5 years ago for a competition they ran. I still reference from time to time. It’s such a beautiful way to talk about story telling. The act of answering and asking questions.

As I prepare my speech for insight I’ve been going back through all the things that have brought me to this point of my career. My speech will be centered around questions. And as I ask myself what are some of the key questions that come to mind during a client meeting I also have to ask myself who is the client. I think the first phase is knowing who I’m talking to. Are they a decider, middle man or do they just answer phones. It’s super important to build context through asking the right questions. Because these questions lead to discoveries that can be used later in the conversation or as a follow up to the meeting. I can’t give it all away so be sure to come to insight and hear my speech.
