Colaboration is Key

I had the great opportunity to shoot with some very cool and interesting folks. Karen Maravilla of It's Just Serendipity and Holly Novacich of Josef & Mari's Salons were the team of gals that made this shoot happen along with our talent for the day, Megan McDonald. Karen proved the amazing space, dresses and props for the shoot and Holly provided the hair and makeup services as well as assisted me with reflectors... and even moving a couch.

I couldn't be more happy with the space. Big windows of the old Woolworth Building/The Destination Building on Hohman Ave. in Hammond, In, flooded the set with excellent daylight. The space was filled with beautiful textures, colors and interesting "things" that begged to be explored and touched. I wanted to take it all home and I think we could do ten more shoots here. The dresses were classic-vintage gowns that are for sale at It's Just Serendipity and that helped focus the shoot. We based the locations around the dresses and Holly did a great job transitioning hair styles for each look. It was great to work with these ladies, everyone had something to add and I think the end results speak for themselves.

Here are some behind the scenes shots of the team in action:
